Green Travel Policy

Travel has a direct impact on the environment, particularly through vehicle emissions and fuel consumption. To help minimise each event’s Carbon Footprint we encourage organisers to think about how they travel.

To minimise road miles please car share where possible or book a coach. Free parking is available at the centre.

If you are travelling by rail, the closest stations to the centre are Didcot Parkway at 19 miles or Hungerford at 10 miles (Didcot has a much more comprehensive and regular service to and from London) - call 07711 351403 for a taxi from Hungerford/Newbury and 07753 165890 for a taxi from Didcot Parkway - these two numbers are those of our most local and reliable taxi firms; often taxis taken from station taxi ranks are much more expensive (Hungerford does not have a rank). Approximate cost for a Taxi from either station is between £30-40 EACH WAY. You can also travel to Newbury and Swindon but these stations are a long way from the centre and more expensive in a taxi (£50+).  Train times are available from www.nationalrail.co.uk
